Fraymakers is an action game created by indie developer McLeodGaming. It is a fighting game that will have you duke it out with up to four players in a battle. The goal is to knock the enemies outside the boundaries of the stage.

Fraymakers is a platform fighter in a similar vein to Super Smash Flash 2. It also features a wide roster of characters and stages from various indie game franchises. However, what makes it unique is its development tool called Fraytools. It allows players to create custom-made content, including characters, stages, and modes offering infinite fun. 

What is Fraymakers?

Fraymakers is a platform-based fighting game inspired by Super Smash Bros. As mentioned, four players will duke it out in the battle arena until one remains. The goal is to knock the players out of the boundaries by attacking them. Each player has a damage total represented by numbers. These number increases as damage are taken. The more damage you take, the farther you are knocked away.

The controls are also reminiscent of the Nintendo series. Unlike traditional battle games, the controls are simplified, with most attacks needing only one button. Players can also move around the stages and platforms. They can unleash several ground attacks and five aerial attacks in addition to special attacks. Moreover, a feature called Assist lets you choose an indie character to unleash an attack against your foes.

Fraymakers features a wide cast hailing from different indie games, including BIT.TRIP, Downwell, Octodad, and Rivals of Aether. What makes the game more unique is its custom content editor named Fraytool. With this, players can modify the game themselves by creating their custom content, such as playable characters, assists, items, game modes, and even menus. Even better, you can upload your creation and share them with other players.

Overall, Fraymakers is a game made for fighting games and Smash fans. It echoes the wonderful characteristics that the Nintendo series offers. It has simple controls and comes with a decent selection of playable characters. Even better, it provides unique features that allow you to create your content, thereby increasing its replayability. However, while everything looks simple, it is actually hard to master.
